Your files may include PDF format and Kindle format. This guide will help you download, open, and send your books to your Kindle app or Kindle device.

Step 1: Open the email connected to your order.

How to Open Your eBook on iPhone or iPad

Option 1: Open the PDF on iPhone

Step 1: Tap the download link from your Filemonk email.
Step 2: Download the PDF file.
Step 3: Tap the file once it finishes downloading.
Step 4: Your iPhone may open it in Safari, Files, or Books.
Step 5: To save it, tap the share icon.
Step 6: Choose Save to Files or Books.

You can now reopen the book anytime from your Files app or Apple Books app.

Option 2: Open the Kindle File on iPhone

Step 1: Download the Kindle file from your Filemonk email.
Step 2: Open the Files app on your iPhone.
Step 3: Go to Downloads or On My iPhone.
Step 4: Find the downloaded book file.
Step 5: Tap and hold the file.
Step 6: Tap Share.
Step 7: Select the Kindle app if it appears.

How to Open Your eBook on Android

Option 1: Open the PDF on Android

Step 1: Tap the download link from your Filemonk email.
Step 2: Download the PDF file.
Step 3: Open your Files, Downloads, or My Files app.
Step 4: Tap the PDF file.
Step 5: Open it with your preferred PDF reader.

Option 2: Open the Kindle File on Android

Step 1: Download the Kindle file from your Filemonk email.
Step 2: Open your Files or Downloads app.

Step 5: Tap Share.
Step 6: Choose the Kindle app if it appears.

How to Open Your eBook on a Computer

For PDF Files

Step 1: Download the PDF file from your Filemonk email.
Step 2: Open your computer’s Downloads folder.
Step 3: Double-click the PDF file.
Step 4: Read it using your browser, Preview, Adobe Acrobat, or another PDF reader.

For Kindle Files

If you want to read the book on your Kindle app or Kindle device, the easiest method is usually Send to Kindle.

Follow the steps below.

How to Send Your Book to Kindle Using Amazon Send to Kindle

If you downloaded your Kindle file but do not know how to get it into your Kindle app or Kindle device, use Amazon’s Send to Kindle tool.

Amazon allows users to upload supported personal documents to their Kindle Library using Send to Kindle. This will add them to your Kindle Library so they are available on connected Kindle apps and devices.

Method 1: Send to Kindle Using Amazon’s Website

Step 1: Go to Amazon’s Send to Kindle page.
Step 2: Sign in to the same Amazon account connected to your Kindle or Kindle app.
Step 3: Upload your Moonlit Craves Kindle file.
Step 4: Make sure Add to your library is turned on.
Step 5: Choose the Kindle device or Kindle app you want to send it to.
Step 6: Click Send.
Step 7: Open your Kindle app or Kindle device.
Step 8: Sync your library if the book does not appear right away.

Your book should appear in your Kindle Library after Amazon finishes processing it.

Method 2: Send to Kindle by Email

Amazon also lets you send documents to your Kindle using your personal Send-to-Kindle email address. You can find this email address inside your Amazon account under Manage Your Content & Devices > Preferences > Personal Document Settings. Amazon also requires that documents come from an approved email address.

Step 1: Sign in to your Amazon account.
Step 2: Go to Manage Your Content & Devices.
Step 3: Open Preferences.
Step 4: Find Personal Document Settings.
Step 5: Copy your Kindle email address.
Step 6: From your approved email address, send an email to your Kindle email.
Step 7: Attach your Moonlit Craves Kindle file.
Step 8: Send the email.
Step 9: Open your Kindle app or Kindle device and sync your library.

How to Find Your Book After Sending It to Kindle

After sending your file to Kindle:

Step 1: Open your Kindle app or Kindle device.
Step 2: Go to Library.
Step 3: Tap Sync if the book does not appear.
Step 4: Check the Documents section if it does not appear under Books.
Step 5: Make sure you are logged into the same Amazon account used for Send to Kindle.

Sometimes it may take a few minutes for the file to appear.

“I downloaded the file but I can’t find it.”

Check your device’s download folder.

On iPhone:

Open the Files app
Tap Browse
Check Downloads
Check On My iPhone

On Android:

Open Files, My Files, or Downloads
Search for the book title
Check recent downloads

On computer:

Open your Downloads folder
Search for the book title or file name

“The Kindle app is not showing when I tap Share.”

Use Amazon’s Send to Kindle website instead. This is often the easiest way to add your book to your Kindle Library.

“The book is not showing in my Kindle app.”

Try this:

Step 1: Open the Kindle app.
Step 2: Tap Library.
Step 3: Pull down or tap Sync.
Step 4: Make sure you are signed into the same Amazon account.

“Should I use PDF or Kindle format?”

Use PDF if you want the easiest option.

Use Kindle format if you want the book inside your Kindle app or Kindle device.

For most customers, PDF is the fastest way to start reading immediately. Kindle format is better if you prefer the Kindle reading experience.

“Can I read the PDF on Kindle?”

Yes, PDF files can be sent to Kindle, but the reading experience may not always feel as smooth as a Kindle-formatted file. For the best Kindle experience, use the Kindle version included with your purchase when available.
